This month features Ralph Sias.

Fallbrook Engineering Senior Associate Ralph Sias is an experienced “hands on” technical manager with demonstrated skills in program management of medical device development, systems integration, infection control, wound management, minimally invasive surgery, electronic design, plastics processing, sterilization, electrochemistry and plasma physics.  He has over 30 years’ experience in the medical device industry and has created two successful companies based upon technology he developed and patented.  He has served as a Technical Advisor for the International Divisions of Baxter Healthcare,  VP R&D of two different Baxter strategic business units,  President of Tactyl Technologies,  and Director of R&D of L-3 Communications Advanced Technologies Group, and has consulted for numerous medical device manufacturers. His strong entrepreneurial expertise coupled with his extensive biomedical experience provides the power to solve the most vital problems facing the medical industry today.

Mr. Sias has consulted for Applied Medical Resources while installing an e-beam sterilization system and radiation safety program. He has also provided guidance regarding in-house ethylene oxide sterilization and development of high voltage plasma products for minimally invasive surgery and wound management.

Ralph earned a BS in Physics and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles. When Ralph is not busy consulting on various projects, you can find him enjoying the beach with his wife, Judy, and his dog, Twixie. He also is an avid guitarist and saxophone player.
