The #220181 130 Amp Mild Steel and Aluminum Electrode from Hypertherm is one of the key components Hypertherm's line of mechanized plasma systems. The mild steel patented electrode is compatible with select plasma systems like the HD and HPR series HyPerformance® plasma systems. These HyPerformance® plasma systems are specifically made for efficiencies in manufacturing environments for all industries, that's why they're designed and constructed for the maximum performance and productivity in x-y, bevel and robotic cutting operations.

The fast cutting speeds, rapid process cycling, quick changeovers, and high reliability gives you unmatched HyPerformance cut quality, all thanks to the performance consumables like the #220181 Electrode.

Features and Benefits:
Chambered swirl ring Gradually reduces gas pressure at the end of the cut to stabilize the hafnium insert before arc termination; this extends nozzle and electrode life.
RCoolCore® Ring-shaped hafnium provides additional electrode cooling for increased electrode life and reduced operating costs.
Dimpled electrode Extends electrode back life by preventing material from blowing on the nozzle when first ignited.
HyLife®  Extends electrode life and lowers operating costs.
LongLife® Ramps current and gas flow up and down in a tightly controlled manner
to reduce electrode and nozzle erosion.
TrueFlow™  Allows for centered electrode alignment with the water tube to ensure optimal cooling, which increases life and produces a higher and consistent cut quality.

Q - How long will each electrode last? A - Every situation is different, and the only way to know when to replace the electrode is to check it frequently. It is recommended to replace the nozzle and electrode at the same time, to ensure top performance.
Q - What happens if I forget to replace the electrode? A - Forgetting to replace the electrode can result in a blowout, which ruins both the electrode and nozzle.
Q - When should I change the electrode? A - You should change your electrode when the pit in the insert measures 1mm.
